22-year-old Jared Lee Loughner killed six people and shot a total of (12) others after shooting Rep.Gabrielle Giffords in the head -- she is in critical condition and was taken to the University of Arizona Medical Center. But the extent and seriousness of her injuries are unknown. Law enforcement have Jared Lee Loughner in custody. According to his Myspace updates, Jared Lee Loughner was upset at his school and says that they do not follow the constitution. And on his YouTube channel, Jared Lee Loughner has this video here:
Rep. Gabrielle Giffords was speaking to constituents in a supermarket alcove under a large white banner bearing her name when the gunman ran up and began firing, he then tried to escape on foot but was tackled by a bystander and taken into custody by the police. Congresswoman Rep. Gabrielle Giffords, a Democrat, was holding a "Congress on Your Corner" event at a Safeway supermarket in northwest Tucson when the gunman just walked up to her and shot her in the head. Giffords was first elected in 2006. She has served as chairwoman of the House Space and Aeronautics Subcommittee and also holds seats on the House Science and Technology and Armed Services committees. She won her third term in a closely contested race against a Tea Party-sponsored candidate and was one of three Democratic legislators who reported vandalism at their offices following the March vote on health care reform. She was among at least 10 congressional Democrats who expressed concern about their personal security in the face of anonymous threats after voting in support of the health bill. Reps. Bart Stupak of Michigan, Jim Clyburn of South Carolina, and Democratic congressional candidate Tom Periello of Virginia were among those receiving threatening messages related to their support of the bill. She is married to Navy Capt. Mark Kelly, a NASA astronaut who is scheduled to lead a space shuttle mission to the International Space Station.
